Nestled on the bank of River Ganga, Haridwar is flocked by a large number of pilgrims throughout the year. On arrival in Haridwar, you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and unwind. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure and you are free to explore the nearby places of the hotel. In the evening, proceed towards the Har-ki-Pari, which is the largest holy Ghat of Haridwar. Attend the Ganga Aarti here and participate in the rituals. Listen to the chants of holy prayers. Enjoy the evening on the Ganga Ghat and immerse in the spiritual aura of this sacred site. After attending the Aarti and spending some time there, return to the hotel. Post breakfast, complete the check-out formalities to proceed towards Rishikesh. Firstly, visit Chandi Devi Temple, located atop Neel Parvat on the Shivalik Hills in Haridwar. Dedicated to the Goddess Chandi Devi, this temple is a highly revered site and is among the Siddha Peetha.
After this, visit Mansa Devi Temple where you can be reached by cable car (on a direct payment basis). This is a holy abode of Goddess Mansa Devi, a form of Goddess Shakti. Seeks blessings at these temples and then heads towards Rishikesh. Popularly known as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’, Rishikesh is a revered destination. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Freshen up and then visit the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is believed to be situated at a place where Lord Shiva consumed the poison that originates from Samudra Manthan, which made his throat, and due to this incident Lord Shiva got his name ‘Neelkanth’. Then visit Laxman Jhula, which is a suspension bridge situated across the River Ganges. It is said that Hindu deity Laxman, the brother of Lord Ram, crossed the Ganges on jute ropes, where the bridge stands today. After the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel.
